Social Value

Social Value at Alimentary Solutions

At Alimentary Solutions, we believe in always delivering patient-centred, responsive, high-quality care with compassion that exceeds expectations. With a caring approach to everything we do, we ensure patients have all the time and information they need, with excellent communication and the highest standards of clinical excellence and safety.

Aside from striving for outstanding experiences and outcomes, we know that our responsibilities go beyond delivering healthcare. As members of our local community, we have a duty to minimise our impacts on the world beyond our walls whilst adding social value and enhancing the well-being of others. We take our duties to the environment and local communities very seriously.

Our Duty to the Environment

The climate crisis is one of the biggest threats that humanity has faced and certainly the defining issue of our time. We all have a duty to help reduce our impact on the natural world. Within Alimentary Solutions Limited we understand that our operations have an impact on the environment. Whilst we endeavour to minimise waste, source consumables responsibly, use local staff for our service delivery and encourage car sharing, we know we can do more.

Our Promise

Did you know that we lose around 100,000 acres of forest every day? Trees form a vital defence against rising CO2 levels, which is why we have teamed up with the International Tree Foundation (ITF) to plant trees, support our environment, and safeguard future generations.

Since 2018, we have planted a tree for every procedure we complete. What’s more, we have achieved ISO 14001 accreditation (Environmental Management Systems) and working on a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP).

Supporting Our Communities

Additionally, we are a proud sponsor of the junior cricket teams at Astley Bridge Cricket Club (ABCC). Since 2023, we have helped with club sponsorship and supply of cricket kits to junior players. In 2024, we also set up the Alimentary Fund, which supports disadvantaged families and helps their children play cricket at the club by either covering club registration fees or equipment costs.

About Astley Bridge Cricket Club

Astley Bridge Cricket Club, with a rich history spanning 96 years, serves as a vital community hub in our locality. They are committed to providing inclusive sporting opportunities and fostering community engagement through their cricket programs. The club is dedicated to nurturing young talent and promoting the values of teamwork, discipline, and physical wellbeing. They offer a supportive environment for players of all ages and backgrounds, including five junior teams and three senior men's teams. In an area marked by significant deprivation, their facilities represent a crucial space for recreational and communal activities.
