Information for Hospital Trusts
Alimentary Solutions works closely with hospital trusts to help relieve the tremendous pressures of increasing demand, tighter diagnostic targets, and a national staffing crisis. Insourcing provides the opportunity to enhance endoscopy and radiology capacity in your hospital, reduce waiting times for patients, and improve overall quality, performance, and governance. Community Endoscopy Services
Alimentary Solutions also delivers diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services in the community. Our community diagnostic facility is located in Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley, which falls within Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (L&SC ICB). With state-of-the-art equipment and on-site decontamination facilities, we can deliver procedures including:
- Gastroscopy
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy (with Polypectomy)
Though Entonox (inhaled nitrous oxide, which is used for mild pain relief) and intravenous sedation are available, many procedures are done comfortably without these. Our insistence on only using expert endoscopists with high procedural competence ensures that our patients get the best experience possible.
We take patient safety, comfort and outcomes very seriously, rigorously monitoring our procedural Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Our pre-op assessment and preparations maximise the chance of a safe, quick and complete procedure on the first attempt. Our exemplary patient feedback shows the high quality of our service:
